SHOP MARKETS
Each year we host two markets with a wide range of stalls from a variety of local small businesses - if you are looking for original and engaging presents this is the place to be.

Sadly, in 2020 we were unable to go ahead with our original plans because of the virus, but we have thought long and hard about how to still provide shopping opportunities for our customers, and support local stallholders, whilst still keeping everyone safe.

We had planned to host two stalls outside the shop each Saturday during November and December, but yes, lockdown happened and all stalls for November were cancelled.

The stalls going ahead in December are shown below, and we have squeezed a few more in to help small traders. We hope everyone will support them in these difficult times.

FRIDAY 4th DECEMBER, 9am to 1pm (or longer)
Janet and Felicity will be selling and taking orders for wreaths, table decorations & plants in pots (predominantly bulbs such as narcissi and hyacinths) for Christmas. There will also be preserves and a small range of plants available for sale.

Cherry Me
Cherry Me is another local, small business. Its healthy artisanal homemade dried fruit and vegetable snack range is made with no added preservatives, sugars, or salt. It is also free from gluten, dairy, soya, egg and nuts.
Great care is taken when making the products to ensure the best texture and flavour for your enjoyment with knowledge gained over many years.

Highclere Gin
Highclere Castle is famous as the 'real Downton Abbey',  Its gin, winner of 14 prestigious gold awards, is distilled from a blend of botanicals grown on their ancient estate including oranges from the Victorian Orangery. This 'exceptionally smooth London Dry Gin integrates juniper, orange zest, lime flower, cardamom, and other botanicals along with Highclere’s famous oats to soften the finish' - what's not to love?

Sadly, there was so much rain that Melissa had to cancel as otherwise her art could have been ruined.
We hope to welcome her to our lovely shop at our next market.

AVAILABLE IN THE SHOP, COME IN AND SEE

The Community Shop has unusual and interesting gifts that you are unlikely to find on the high street. Stocks are limited - first come, first served! We have candle-making kits, 'eatsleepdoodle' pencil cases, place mats and tablecloths to colour then wash and start again, hairy ballz (!), make your own Christmas crackers, seedbombs (throw and grow), NOOD beautiful soaps and shower steamers (like a bath bomb but for your shower), and so on. We even have home-made dog biscuits so your canine friend is not left out.

THE FOLLOWING STALLHOLDERS SHOULD HAVE BEEN WITH US IN NOVEMBER BUT SADLY WE HAD TO CANCEL. WE HOPE TO WELCOME THEM BACK TO THE SHOP IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

 The Wiltshire Liqueur Company
This local company makes Sloe gin, Damson vodka, Blood orange, Wild strawberry, Beyond Liqueurs, Christmas Liqueur and Gift packs. Sounds delicious, and they even have recipes on their website so you can make things like 'Blood orange chocolate truffles' and 'Sloe belly of pork'. The good news is that we have some of their goods in the shop!
