There are beautiful woods close to the shop (space is limited for parking at the shop so please park at the Village Hall which can be found on the outskirts of the village, up Newbury Hill, and walk down the track). Don't miss the Hampstead Norreys Motte which is just a short distance from the entrance to the woods.
St Mary's, the beautiful 12th century church, is well worth a visit - it is open every day. But remember to take a look behind it at the unique churchyard memorial. There is a good children's playground by the Village Hall with a big picnic area (and adult exercise equipment) and the Living Rainforest is just outside Hampstead Norreys - a great day out for all ages. And if you are in this area for a few days, where better to stay than at the beautiful Manor Farm Cottages . . . on our doorstep. Breakfast and lunch at the shop cafe, followed by dinner at the White Hart pub just down the road. Perfect! |
