Apple Day!

Saturday 13 September, 10am to 2pm

On the shop orchard terraces

Everyone is welcome—though if you’d like to make a small donation to help cover costs, it would be much appreciated.

Bring your own apples to be freshly juiced on the day. We’ll have glass bottles available to buy at a very reasonable price so you can take your fresh juice home—it should keep for 3–5 days. No apples? No problem! There will be plenty to go around, and we’re also inviting anyone with surplus apples to donate them for pressing by a local apple company.

Come along for a day of flavours, fun, and community spirit.

Join us for a free, fun-filled celebration of all things apple!

What’s in store:

  • Apple picking and fruit tasting

  • Apple bobbing and apple bubble science experiments

  • Apple printing and make-your-own apple crumble to bake at home

  • Delicious treats to try, such as apple pancakes, apple pie milkshake, warm apple cider, and more—all at low cost.

Parents/carers are responsible for their own children’s safety - note that there is a lake nearby.

Depending on demand we may have to limit each family to five bottles of juice.

Volunteers needed on the day please! Contact Lesley: hncshop@yahoo.co.uk or ring 07765 501287

Thanks to Richard, of My Apple Juice, who is helping with the event. And thanks too to William Betts who is manning the press.

We hope surplus apples can be used by Richard of ‘My Apple Juice’ in Hungerford. If so, you can bring as many as you wish. Watch this space!
