Apple Day!
Saturday 13 September, 10am to 2pm
On the shop orchard terraces
The sun (mostly) shone, there were smiles everywhere (and plenty of sticky hands!), and, of course, there were apples—lots and lots of apples.
Together we filled around 250 litres of freshly picked, freshly juiced apples – you can’t get fresher than that! Children (and some grown-ups) had a go at making their own apple crumble, tried their luck at apple bobbing (the record was an incredible 15 in one minute!), built exploding apple volcanoes, created colourful art through apple printing, and even tested their balance in the apple-and-spoon challenge.
It was a joyful, laughter-filled celebration of autumn and community spirit. None of it would have been possible without our amazing volunteers—and, of course, the thousands of apples kindly brought along to share.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped, and to everyone who came along to join in the fun. What a day! 🍎✨
